This knife is the preferred style for Heritage Foraging LLC. The single edge Japanese style Stainless Steel makes the blade easier to sharpen and stays sharper longer. The straight blade at about 5 inches makes the knife perfect for cutting bigger mushrooms like Chicken or Hen of the Woods, yet the fine point makes it easy enough to cut small Cinnabar's and everything in between. Folded the knife fits comfortably in front or back pocket, or a lanyard hole is provided at bottom of knife for around the neck carry. (Hey, sometimes you got to climb a tree for mushrooms!).
